The New Professionals Committee, a sub-committee of the NASW-NYC Recruitment & Retention Committee, has an overarching goal that centers on introducing new social workers to the NASW-NYC chapter and finding and creating different ways to engage and maintain members.

The direct mission of the New Professionals R&R subcommittee is to connect with, strengthen, and mentor new professionals joining the social work field through training and professional development, connecting new professionals to the work of the NASW-NYC chapter, and creating a space where new social work professionals feel supported and fully equipped to take what they have learned and apply it in the field.
